Voter Education
- Forum Committee: Organizes candidate and issue forums to help Whidbey Island residents make informed choices in local, state, and federal elections.
- Youth Voter Project Committee: Visits civics classrooms in Oak Harbor, Coupeville, and South Whidbey School Districts to teach new voters about the voting process.
- TRY Committee (They Represent You): Updates and distributes our "They Represent You" brochures after elections (content updates, printing, and island-wide distribution).
Events & Community Outreach
- Events Committee: Plans and runs programs and events for members and the public, and participates in community outreach such as info tables and voter registration.
Communications
- Media & Communications Committee: Manages the website and digital communications (newsletter/publicity) and designs print materials for LWV Whidbey events.
League Operations
- Membership Committee: Welcomes and supports new and renewing members, maintains membership lists, and helps keep local/state/national records updated.
- Board Member: Helps guide League priorities and operations. The board typically meets monthly (often by Zoom) and includes officer roles (President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer) and at-large members.
